Since 2005, the Bowral District Children’s Foundation (BDCF) has proudly raised and committed over $1.7 million to support children’s health and wellbeing across the Southern Highlands.
Our funding has helped deliver critical services and programs, including:
A specialist hot crib for premature babies at Bowral Hospital
A mental health nurse for children and adolescents in the hospital’s emergency and inpatient care
A children’s weight clinician to support early intervention and healthy growth
A community liaison at Reframe, the local youth mental health service
Educational talks for families on anxiety, digital wellbeing and parenting, featuring experts like Dr Justin Coulson and Dr Kristy Goodwin
As we mark our 20th anniversary in 2025, we’re looking forward to supporting even more local initiatives,

such as:
The Raise Foundation’s youth mentoring programs at Bowral and Moss Vale High Schools
The Highlands Wellbeing Forum and Wellbeing Community Collective
A paediatric triage coordinator at Bowral Hospital
School-based programs by Batyr and the Butterfly Foundation, promoting mental health and body confidence
A children’s counsellor at POP! In to support families through play-based learning
We’re excited for what’s ahead — and grateful to our community for helping us create lasting impact for local children and young people.
