One of the most charming and meaningful Southern Highlands fundraising events returned in full bloom, as Jenny Rose Innes’ Open Garden once again welcomed guests in support of the Bowral District Children’s Foundation.

The Bowral District Children’s Foundation once again brought the community together for one of the most anticipated Southern Highlands events of the year, the Bowral Long Lunch 2026.

BDCF’s 20th Anniversary Platinum Ball celebrated two decades of supporting children’s wellbeing in the Southern Highlands, an unforgettable night of music, community, and fundraising success.

The Raise Foundation’s youth mentoring program has officially launched for 2025 in two Southern Highlands high schools — and it’s already breaking records. This year has seen an unprecedented number of young people signing up, highlighting just how needed and valued this program is in our local community.

At the Bowral District Children’s Foundation (BDCF), our focus in recent years has turned increasingly toward one of the most pressing issues facing young people today: youth mental health. According to the Mental Health Commission of NSW, 1 in 3 Australians aged 16–24 are living with a mental health condition lasting 12 months or more. This national challenge is reflected right here in the Southern Highlands.

Since 2005, the Bowral District Children’s Foundation (BDCF) has proudly raised and committed over $1.7 million to support children’s health and wellbeing across the Southern Highlands.

As we step into 2025, the Bowral District Children’s Foundation (BDCF) proudly marks 20 years of supporting children’s wellbeing in the Southern Highlands. This year also brings a meaningful new partnership with the Southern Highlands Wellbeing Collaborative (SHWC) — a community initiative led by the Youth Impact Foundation to support consistent, compassionate approaches to youth mental health and wellbeing across our region.
