The Bowral District Children’s Foundation (BDCF) is incredibly proud to celebrate our President, Skye Leicester, on being named Wingecarribee Citizen of the Year 2026.

This well-deserved recognition honours Skye’s 16 years of dedicated service to improving outcomes for children and young people across the Southern Highlands . This commitment has made a lasting difference to families throughout our community.

Under Skye’s leadership, BDCF has helped raise and distribute more than $2 million toward vital initiatives supporting children’s health and well-being. From strengthening youth mental health services and expanding school-based programs to supporting local healthcare and reducing pressure on hospital services, her impact has been both meaningful and far-reaching.

Skye’s passion for community-driven support and her ability to bring people together has played a key role in shaping BDCF into the organisation it is today, one that continues to lead important Southern Highlands fundraising efforts and community initiatives.

Beyond the numbers, it’s Skye’s energy, generosity and genuine care for others that truly stand out. She leads with warmth, humour and unwavering dedication, inspiring those around her and strengthening the fabric of our local community.

From everyone at BDCF, and the many lives you’ve touched, thank you, Skye. This recognition is so well deserved, and our Wingecarribee community is better because of you.
